In the fall of 1951 Louis Edmonds (left) appeared in the touring company of Darkness at Noon with film star Edward G. Robinson (right.) For the tour, Robinson took over the leading role, which had been performed on Broadway by Claude Rains. He starred as Rubashov, an imprisoned revolutionary awaiting his execution. Louis played a guard watching over him at the Soviet prison where the story takes place.
